Smart Storage: How to Stack

Our slip-cast stoneware is made to stack beautifully. For best results, create stacks of no more than 7-8 pieces of the same style—our signature rolling rim creates a gentle offset that adds character but needs thoughtful stacking to stay stable.

Dishwasher Loading: A Simple Trick

We recommend loading your Tortugaware with the irregular edge facing up—this prevents pieces from nesting too tightly and getting stuck. it also makes unloading effortless, and protects your stoneware from chipping.

Handwashing Large Serving Pieces

Your serving platters and bowls deserve a gentler touch. With larger surfaces, these statement pieces are best washed by hand to preserve their beauty and prevent chipping. The same wisdom applies to our serve platter.

Oven Safe for Warming

Tortugaware is oven safe up to 300°F, creating that hospitable moment when food arrives at just the right temperature. Start with a cold oven and place your pieces inside before turning it on, allowing the stoneware to warm gradually to avoid sudden temperature changes that can cause breakage.
